Who is this Shane Sligh character anyway?

Hello! I'm glad you stopped by. A bit about me... I live in San Diego with my wife, three kids and our Rubenesque cat, Iris. I've lived in San Diego for many years now (love the weather), but I still really miss Seattle (somewhat less fond of the weather). I suppose I'm past the far side of middle age, although I don't think I've had any sort of midlife crisis. I haven't bought a Camaro or taken to wearing a beret. A few things I enjoy: playing guitar, reading, running. A few things I don't enjoy: traffic, sun burns, brussels sprouts.

Once upon a time, I worked in social work and I loved it (but alas, sometimes things have to change). I have worked in front and backend web development for a company here in San Diego for, well, a long time. Maybe it is time to buy a beret.^* Finally, as Ambrose Bierce said, "Doubt begins only at the last frontiers of what is possible." Hopefully that quote will leave you thinking that I'm insightful, but I doubt it.
